A Scottish Tattoo Convention, You Say?

Darn tootin’! A show based north of the border has been a long time coming, and the website for The 1st Annual Scottish Tattoo Convention is now up and running, ready for your eager eyes and the clicks of your mouse.

Held at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange over the weekend of March 26th – 27th, the show will undoubtedly draw a huge crowd of enthusiasts from all over the country and we’re most definitely excited about seeing what the organisers are going to lay on. Expect updates over the next couple of months with regards the artist and vendor list, both on the website itself and their Facebook page.

If you are interested in plying your trade at the show, get in touch via the contact page and state your business!

We’ll deliver more delicious tidbits as we receive them, so until then (or the next time I blog), viva la revolution!

  1. Shame it’s the same week as the Peterlee convention though! I don’t get what they did that for. I’d have come along for the fun as well, if they didn’t clash! 😦

  2. ‘Tis a shame that they clash, and I should imagine that a few more shows will find themselves plonked either on the same weekend or a week before/after new ones coming through. As Prince said, sign o’ the times.
Still, it’ll be interesting to see which conventions thrive and up their game. 🙂

    • It’s a real shame, like- I can see Peterlee suffering even more now, because people will be making a big deal about this being in Scotland. I still say Newcastle needs a convention again, but I can’t see it happening.

  3. Hey, re. Peterlee…. it was an oversight on our part, we had 3 possible weekends over the year, and this was the best for all involved. As soon as we realised, we contacted Eddie & Trudy, and pledged a donation to charity, as way of an apology.
Its our intention to show tattooing in a positive light, and not ride roughshod over anyone.
Peterlee is a well established and well run show, but Scotland is long overdue an international style show, and we hope to put our show up alongside the other big shows. All the best, STC

  4. I think it’s great we’re getting a major tattoo event in Scotland (Edinburgh),like the custom bike shows Scotland (Glasgow – etc) is so under represented. I’m looking forward to the March convention (about time I say).
